caterpillar eating bush


Question

my poor bush!
I have many caterpillars that have eaten my bush just today.  How do I get rid of them and will they eat my other plants?

Answer
These are sawflies larvae and can be controlled with the use of an insecticide. Any of the following will wok--spray the foliage where the insects are.
acephate (Orthene)  
bifenthrin  
carbaryl (Sevin)    
malathion (Malathion)  
permethrin  

Check with your local nursery/garden type store for these products.
