Question
My tree has a brownish green foilage, will it hurt my tree to use Miracle grow?  Do  these trees have a dark green foilage, or is the brownish green the natural color.

Sounds like a lack of fertilizer. Fertilizer requirements for Italian Cypress are high. They prefer to be well fertilized at all times. We recommend that you apply a granular fertilizer for Evergreens 3-4 times a year. Holleytone is one of these-check with your local nursery for a fertilizer for evergreens.

Keep in mind you do not want to let the trees stay to wet. You do not want the roots of the tree staying wet.
Water once a week with 1 inch of water=place a pan under the tree and turn the sprinkler on and when the pan has 1 inch of water in it stop. Do this if it does not rain that week.

Mulch around the tree with not more than 3 inches deep of organic mulch (pine straw is good) not piled up on the trunk.
