Moving a cypress pine tree

Question
I have a row of tall pines 30 ft tall I would like to move to another area of my property. Do you think that is possible?
Thanks....CIndy

Answer
No not with out a commercial tree spade and professional help and then it will be a large job and the stress on the trees will be hugh. The root ball that will need to be
Width = 9-12 in. in diameter/every 1 in. of tree diameter
Depth = 6 in./every 1 in. of tree diameter

For example: A tree trunk 10 inches wide would need a soil ball of 90-120 inches wide and 60 inches deep.

Pines this size do not do well moving. I would say plant others instead. here is a web link to the tree spade dealer and you can contact one near you and see what they think.
