QuestionYou previously answered someone's question about an Italian cypress whose roots penetrated her fiberglass swimming pool. Would you expect this same thing to happen to a concrete (gunite) pool that is steel reinforced? Or would this be strong enough to all the roots to just continue to grow downward against that surface?
AnswerYou should not have a problem with the roots with a concrete pool. The walls would act as a barmier and stop any roots. The roots would need a weak spot to enter and if there were a weak spot you would be losing water. You should have no problem with roots.
