QuestionQUESTION: Dear Elyse,
I live in Australia and I have a question about growing Coriander.
Can you tell me why it goes to seed so quickly and what I can do about it?
Many thanks
ANSWER: Juliette:
It's just the nature of the plant. It does bolt faster in warm weather. the solution is to keep planting it. I usually let at least one plant go to seed so I always have some coming up. As soon as your plants are an inch tall or so, sow some more seeds.

QUESTION: can I plant/grow coriander all year round?
(thank you for the previous answer! )
AnswerIf your weather is mild, yes. I sometimes have it coming up in winter, but it doesn't do much. It seems to grow best here in the spring - wet and cool or wet and warm. Doesn't germinate well in high heat - I have trouble getting it to grow in summer, when I want it most. But it produces so many seeds, that you might as well keep tossing them out there!
