QuestionDear sir / madam
I would be very grateful if you could help.
We have a bay and over the last three or four weeks we have noticed that the leaves had a sooty like appearance to them and now they look a tan colour and feel sun dried. It has not been short of water. It is however in a fairly large pot.
Many thanks in antipation
Regards

AnswerTony:
Bay will sometime get this sooty stuff on them. I use rubbing alcohol & cotton balls to hand remove it. Bay loves to be root bound before moving to a larger pot. Too much water could cause these conditions too. Go to web site "gardens alive.com" and they have natural products for this soot. Watch your water. If it gets plenty of rain, do not water!
