moving herbs, non blooming iris

Question
I am moving my herb garden to another area in my yard and want to know the best time of the year to do it.  I live in Columbus, Ohio.  I have oregano, thyme, sage, and rosemary.

Also, I have quite afew iris in my yard but noticed last season about half of them did not bloom although they are in the same location.  Do they need fertilizer?

Answer
Kris:
Be sure to locate them in an eastern or south-east location when the night temps are in the 60's. I don't know about irises, but if you have never fed them I would do so this apring. When new growth has started on the herbs, prune each branch from the top down by 1/3 and do this throughout the growing season to give you more healthy growth. Feed liquid fish fertilizer at time of transplanting and every 3 weeks. Home depot/lowe's now carry this product or natural health food stores. If you find seaweed/fish fertilizer, it is better, but a little more expensive.
