QuestionI have a beautiful stand of lavendar. I would like to know when to harvet the lavendar for drying and how to dry it and some uses for the dried lavendar.
Thank you
Answernancy:
It is said to stop pruning lavendar in Sept. So, if you still want to harvest it then cut 1/3 from the tip down on each branch. Place bunches in a brown paper bag and hang in a dry area. Place some branches in a blender with 1-2 cups of water & blend. Strain for all the liquid and pour into final rinse cycle of the colored clothes. Also place branches in stocking and place in dryer. Place branches in night wear drawers, closets, bed linen. It is said to use lavendar to help you sleep &/or relax.
Good luck!
