I have recently purchased fresh herbs and all are doing well except for the basil. What are your tips for growing basil?

Basil must be outside and receiving full morning sun all day. Water about twice a week without any rain. Feed an organic fertilizer such as liquid fish at home depot/lowe's. Prune 1/3 of the new growth off each branch every 3 weeks or less. If in a pot, it should be at least 12" deep Good luck. Prune off all flowers when they appear to get more healthy leaf growth.
