QuestionUnder "Rosemary" was the advice, "Use a seaweed and/or liquid fish fertilizer." I live in Chile, and the huge bay in Coronel is wall-to-wall high tech fish drying plants. Farm animals eat from high on the food chain, fish -- yanked from the sea-balance. Nowadays, fish as food for pets, other animals, or for plants is questionable to me.
AnswerBill:
I have been using the fish/seaweed fertilizer for 23 years+. I am told the fish is from the Norway seas and it is mostly small fish that is used. They grind it and add sulphuric acid to the bottle to prevent it from exploding. The combination is excellent for the plants. It does a great job in protedting plants during an early frost and keep some insects at bay for the taste they do not like. I hope this doesn't affect the sea balance too much.
