My brother is a Juvenile Diabetic, so since it's in the family, I do self checks often.  No Heart problems either.  I'm a healthy women, with a few ups and downs. Feeling tired, that no energy feeling is frustrating. David thanks for the tea recommendation.  I'm excited about trying the Maca and Damiana tea..I will order them right away along with the horsetail tea. Are those morning, evening or anytime teas?  I enjoy my herb tea mostly in the evenings.  Morning I still enjoy a cup of coffee or two. Is a couple cup of regular coffee defeating my purpose?

Hi David thank you for your reply.  To answer your question.  I'm interested in strenghening my Hair& Nail and as far as my Skin, I'm looking to even out my skin tone..I have hyperpigmentation on my arms and parts of my face.  I've seen worse cases then mine, but still it's MY problem and this uneveness is bothersome. I'm told by many, that I'm attractive, but these brown patches bring me down. It would be wonderful if you could recommend herbs that may help my problem.  I love herb teas and curently I'm trying Dandelion tea. I also eat dandelion raw with olive oil and wine vinager several times aweek, since I was a little girl, now 40ish.  The tea is quite bitter, but honey helps. Also, lately I feel a lack of energy, so if you could recommend and herb than may help, but not interefere with sleeping at night.  David I find this subject very interesting. It wonderful to relate to someone with the same interest.  Thank you for helping. I look forward to hearing from YOU again. Sandra.

Question -
Dear David...I'm interested in taking the herb(s) Horsetail and/or Seaweed.  Can you inform me of the pros (benefits) and cons of both? Can both be taking together or should I stick with one or the other?  Also, does Horsetail tea (bags) have the same benefits as the capsules?? Finally, does the tea version have a nice flavor?? Thank you for your time.  I look forward to your answer(s) with great interest. Sandra

Hi Sandra, thanks for your question.  Horsetail herb has many wonderful benefits.  I dont know what your specific reason is for taking it.  I mean what benefit do you hope to get from horsetail and seaweed?  WEll, whatever the answer is, I think you will be happy with the results from taking horsetail herb.

Among the benefits are healthy hair, skin, nails, and bones.  Also used as a diuretic, for inflammation, muscle cramps and spasms, strengthens heart and lungs, helps wounds heal faster, aids the absorption of calcium.   These are some of the benefits of horsetail herb.

Since you are interested in taking it, try it.  AFter you complete a bottle you can decide whether to continue or may want to add the seaweed or other herbs.  If I know what you are trying to accomplish, I can help you choose others that will help.  The tea will be as effective as capsules or tablets, but I cant answer the flavor questions.  You would just have to try it and see if you like the taste.  For the herbs I take I prefer a capsule when it is available.

Let me know.
David

Hi Sandra, thanks for the encouraging remarks.  Im sure you are an attractive woman.  Yes it is nice to relate to someone with like interests.  I will do some research on supplements to help even the skin tone.  Im at a loss right now to recommend anything specific.  But do take the horsetail herb.  I know it will make your skin strong and healthy.  Let me see what I can come up with.

For increased energy you need B vitamins.  Do you have any health issues like high blood pressure, diabetes or heart trouble?  I have many herbal supplements I could recommend for you but I will give you some and then if you give me some more specific information Im sure we can find some that will give you the energy boost you are looking for.

For now I think it is important to take a B-50 capsule once a day and a sublinqual b-12 tablet.  I take both daily.  Breakfast is a good time to take them as they do increase energy levels and may interfere with sleep if taken after lunch.

A couple of herbs that help boost general energy levels as well as sexual energy are maca and damiana.  Since you like teas I think you would enjoy the damiana tea.  It has a nice smooth flavor and has some nice benefits.  I enjoy a cup occasionally but take the capsules some days.

This website limits the number of followups one person can send.  I would enjoy continuing conversations by email if you think its a good idea.  Let me know.  Your email is not available to me.  Most people think it is.

About the seaweed, it is an excellent source of kelp, another supplement with many benefits for the skin.

I hope this helps you.
David

Answer
I think 3 followups are allowed; it seems to change at times.  Im really not sure.  Yes, You could look me up in the future, but I may want to check on you to see how you are doing.

I think Damiana is an anytime tea.  At least for me it doesnt interfere with sleep.  Maca seems to produce more general energy.  Just experiment, but dont have Maca right before bedtime at first.  I have had them both in the evening and didnt have any problem with sleep.  I am interested to know if you notice any benefits from them.  I think you wlil.

1 or 2 cups of coffee is not a problem.   Iwish I could keep my coffee-drinking down to that.

Enjoy your teas.
