Bay Leaves

Question
Hello Leroy,

My wife love her organic garden and she keeps expanding every year, this year she wanted a Laurel Tree -- You know, the tree that gives us the bay leaves -- but she has yet to find it anywhere.

We've been everywhere, we went to every local shop that has organic trees and no one has it.

Can you direct me to a place where i can buy this tree? Online perhaps?

Thanks in advance.

Answer
James:
True, James very hard to find organically grown bay. They are hard to grow and find. Most are seed bay with thin trunks and takes about 2 years to see new growth. The ones from cuttings are thicker, greener and faster growing. Like I do with any non organic plant, convert it to the organic life style. It takes a while for it to turn around, but it works. Try the nurseries again, but ask if it is from a cutting or seed. Good luck!
Try www.herbworld.com for local nurseries. Ca. have larger ones, but shipping is high.
