QuestionHi. I have a heavenly chocolate mint plant that I have successfully progapaged merely by making a cutting and putting it directly into potting soil. Suddenly, this isn't working. I've tried my tried-and-true method, leaving the cuttings outside, taking them inside, etc. I read that it can be propagated by digging up the root and planting that, to no avail.
Answers? Suggestions?
I have friends anxiously waiting for a plant of their own. Thank you so much!

I have done this at times and it rooted too! The other way is to take a 6" cutting, strip the bottom 2 leaves and place in a glass of warm water. Place in morning sun in or outdoors. Usually it will root in about 2 weeks. Change the water once a week. Have you had chocolate mint pancakes?
Take a handful of leaves, blend in a blender, strain for all liquid. Add liquid to pancake, waffle or cup cake mix and bake. The color will be green and kids call that cool. Enjoy!
