QuestionI have two beautiful rosemary bushs growing in planter boxes. The bushes are both 2 plus years old and have done very well until now. We do have soaker lines in each planter box that are set very low so the plants get a bit of water twice a week. We live in zone 8. Both plants are now about 3 feet tall but are turning yellow. We don't know what to do for them but don't want to lose them due to our stupidity. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Rosemary are very finicky of not enough water and too much water. Once a week would be fine and a little misting too. They also don't like being root-bound. Sounds like your planter should be at least 18" deep. Fertilize with orgaic fertilizer such as liquid fish fertilizer, sold at home depot & lowe's. If you find a seaweed/fish mix at health food stores, this is even better. Prune 1/3 off each new branch every 3 weeks. Save cuttings for drying, but do prune them. If you can take them out of pots to see if root bound. If they are, just cut 1/3 off the bottom and slightly loosen side roots, add same amount of soil that you cutted off and re-pot. Fertilize and wait. Rosemary are slow when recovering.
