QuestionI have a rosemary plant that I've managed to save for 2 yrs now. Recently I noticed a white, powdery mildew/fungus growing on some of the leaves and it is spreading. When I touch it it almost feels a little waxy. Plant is not looking so good. I was about to put it outside for spring and hope that sunlight kills some of mildew. Any other ideas ??
AnswerPete:
Yes! do move outdoors in full morning. The stuff is powdery mildew and rosemary will get it indoors without proper ventilation; not enough sunlight; too much water or not enough.
? POWDERY MILDEW on Roses, Rosemary and others: (1) teaspoon of Baking Soda to (1) quart of water. (3) tablespoons to (1) gallon of water.Spray under and on top of leaves every 3 days for 9 days. Then just watch plant for return. Wash off leaves before using in food. Not toxic.
