QuestionGood day sir! I just want to ask how to grow and take care of herbs. I live in the Philippines, which is a tropical country, so would it be possible for me to grow herbs like chives, dill, basil, and other culinary herbs? Also which is more adviceable when growing herbs from the seeds: grow it on a medium first or directly to the soil? And is it ok to use fertilizers when growing them and would there be any parasites to look out for when growing them? And pls give me some other additional advice on growing and taking care of herbs. Thank you for taking the time to read this mail. God Bless!
AnswerDiane:
Your climate should be good for your herbs. Chives, dill basil can be sowed in soil with a light cover, except basil, which need no cover but soil must be above 60 degrees. Use screen or nylon cover to protect from hard rains. Look for worms under the leaves while growing. Only use organic fertilizer every 3 weeks and prune your plants at the same time. Organic gardening books can give you more care info.
Good Luck. Mail back if any more questions.
