QuestionDear Dr. Wright,
I was wondering if you could tell me the best Calcium to take. I hear so many ads and everyone says thiers is the best. Is there one that absorbs better than another? Is there a certain amount I should take per day? Can you please enlighten me? Thank you in advance, Monica
AnswerHello Monica :)
It's best to get your calcium in a liquid or liquigel form. It assimilates better into the body than caps or tablets can. As for brand or kind, just get from a reputable source, not a discount store or a commercial chain vitamin store. Those places tend to carry lower quality products.
As for the amount, depends on your age, weight, and general overall condition. Follow directions on the bottle. My favorite brand is Schiff, cal/mag/d 1200. it's a calcium with magnesium and vit d... which all work together.
