QuestionHello Karen :
I was recently diagnosed with high blood preasure,
to be exact it was 142/100 wich is high, but not
terribly high. My doctor has prescrived
medication for it, but as I read articles in the
internet about the subject, I'm finding out that
the first line of defence is supposed to be diet,
excercise and may be some suplements. I've
already got the prescription(hydrochlorothiazide)
, but to be perfectly honest, I don't like to
be on any kind of medication, so I was wondering
if you could recomend any herbs, dietery
supplements, or even a complete diet that I might
be able to follow to lower my blood presure
without medications. Oh yea, looking through
the internet I found out that garlic and celery
can help me, but I'm not 100% sure, and
I would really apreciate the advice of an expert. Any advice you can provide would be greatly apreciated.
Thanks
Emmanuel
AnswerDear Emmanuel,
Garlic and celery both can serve to lower to blood pressure in many cases. Cayenne also works well for this purpose. You should also reduce the fat and salt intake in your diet and eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Kudzu extract has proven to be beneficial in lowering the blood pressure. You may view/purchase this extract on my website at http://www.grannyherb.com/
If I may be of further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.
Best Regards,
Karen
