Questionhow much water does a peace lily need ?
AnswerHi Ysleta,
Water use by any plant depends on its size, its root system, the available light, temperature and humidity.
For a Peace Lily, the best time to water is just before it starts to wilt noticeably. If you wait too long it will wilt pathetically, but it will recover several hours after watering. I don't recommend letting it wilt completely. However, watch your plant carefully for a week or so and see how long it goes before its starts to wilt. Then, you will know how often yours needs water.
I have written a detailed article on Peace Lily care that I will email for free to you (or anyone else) who emails a request to me at
[email protected]. I have also written an indoor plant care book in a PDF format that I can sell you if you contact me at my email address.
Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
