QuestionGood Day to You:
I have a co-worker who was out of the office on medical leave and I told her that I would take care of her plants. She passed away about three (3) weeks later and I wasn't able to ask her any questions about the plants. She has two (2) bamboo plants and two (2) pothos -- all in water. I have been taking care of them; although, I just noticed with the Pothos, there are several worm-like creatures floating around in the clear glass vase that she has the plant in.
Do you think you could tell me what these creatures are and if I should get rid of them? Are they good for the plant or am I creating bugs that will be flying around the office soon?
Thank you very much for your help in this matter.
Sincerely,
Confused
AnswerHi Donna,
Without actually seeing the water-borne creatures, I cannot ID them. However, it doesn't matter because it is likely that they are harmless. That said, it is a good idea to dump out the water and replace it with fresh water every couple of weeks. That should resolve the problem.
Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
