QuestionI have two large pots with red begonias growing nicely, however, the red colors aren't very bright. Just a few houses away there red begonias are a bright red, and much prettier. IS thee any way to enhance the red colors in mine?
AnswerHi Richard,
It is very likely that the variety of the Begonia you have is different from the one your neighbor has. There are literally thousands of Begonia hybrids that are bred for variations in flower color (white, pink, salmon, and many shades of red) and leaf shape and size. Unfortunately, this is genetically determined and not something that you can control or change.
You can always purchase another Begonia, but pay close attention to the color shade prior to purchase.
