QuestionHi,
I have orange, lemon and avocado plants grown in my garden each an year old. They were germinated from the seeds of grocery bought fruits. Will this trees bear quality fruits in future because its not grafted plant? Is grafting a plant compulsory for them to bear fruit? Is there anything that I can do so that these plants will fruit in future, because I cant afford to see these plants without fruits. Please help me out

Grafting is not compulsory for your plant to bear fruit...However when a plant is grafted it is true to species (It has the same DNA characteristics as the original plant - the fruit produced are the same as the parent plant)...Your plants grown from seed will produce varying offsprings of the original plant (Their DNA characteristics will vary from plant to plant - the quality of the fruit can vary, sometimes greatly)...
Your plants will produce fruit if they flower and are pollinated...The quality of the fruit will probably be good...Grafting guarantees better results...
Research your plants on the Internet for proper care in your area...They should be fertilized for better fruit production...Proper pruning will also be necessary...Depending on the plant type it may take 1-3 years for them to produce fruit...
Good luck...
