Questionhave reg house plants on my balcony and its going down to 13oC here now at night. should i be bringing them in now at night?
AnswerLisa,
For me 50 degrees Fahrenheit or 10 degrees centigrade is the magic #. I am in northern Indiana and it has been getting below that regularly for the last 2 weeks so I have brought all of my tropical houseplants and tropical bonsai trees in for the winter. If they get too cold accidently they tend to drop leaves and then struggle to come back and get healthy again. I feel it is better to be safe than sorry. If you have the time you can do the fall shuffle and bring them in in the evening and put them back out in the morning. Good luck!
