QuestionI have a healthy plant which I bought a few weeks ago. I get the impression that the last flower is smaller.
What I notice most is that the bright red flowers are gradually turning green. what can I do about it?
Thanks
AnswerHi Daniel,
Nursery growers use special growth hormones to manipulate flowering plants into flowering profusely and brilliantly at point-of-sale. They don't care what happens after that, even though you do. So that is a factor in your flowering issues.
There are a few things you can do to help prolong the color and life of the Anthurium flowers. Make sure your Anthurium is on or close to a sunny windowsill. Do not repot it and do water it thoroughly a soon as the surface of the soil feels dry. Fertilize at half strength once per month.
