Yucca leaves

Question
Hello
I have had yucca for over 5 years. It has been healthy for all of this time. Recently though the new leaves that come through are wilting, drying out and or going yellow brown. All other more mature existing leaves are green point and shiney. Why is this happening to only the new baby leaves? My watering habits are the same. The tree is about 5ft and has sunlight from 9 to 5. Not direct. Please help.
Thank you in advance.

My 1st quess would be improper watering techniques...Yuccas rot easily and if let dry too long will also show similar signs of stress...The new growth will show the stress 1st...
Water your plant based on how much it weighs when thoroughly watered VS when they are ready to be watered again. Plants die from too frequent waterings, not from how much water you give them at one time. Pick the pot up and feel how heavy it is after watering it thoroughly. Don't water it again until it feels considerably lighter and the top of the soil is light in color. Depending on plant types, sunlight exposure and pot size plants will need water at many different rates from once a day to once a month or more.
If you haven't fertilized recently get to a local garden center and buy a good indoor plant fertilizer (like Miracle Grow indoor or what ever they recommend)...read the directions...Plants do need to be fertilized every month or so to stay healthy...
It may also be time to repot the plant into a larger pot...Pull the plant out of the pot and examine the root system...Repot if it is rootbound...
Good luck
