I have a queen palm that has a twin growing from its side. Can I divid these without killing both?

Hi Robert,

I have never seen or heard of a Queen Palm producing offsets or side-shoots that could be used for propagation. Palm species are propagated from seeds not from division. Are you sure you have a Queen Palm and not a Ponytail Palm, which is not actually a Palm species? It is also possible that you have two Palm plants growing in the same pot.

A photo here would be most helpful so I can see just what you have and what is going on.
