Question
My best friend passed away recently and she had this plant that was so strange and ive always wanted one because of the things she said it would do. The plant would seem to cry and when cut or injured it would seem to what I would call bleed???? It was so strang if she cut a leaf too close it would do this. Can you tell me what plants would do these kinds of things and why? Thank you, Patricia

Without a picture of the plant it is hard to know precisly. Howeve on of the plants that acts as you describe is ficus trees. They are also known as fig trees and there are many varieties but all are capable of bleeding a white milky sap when a leaf or branch are damaged. In higher humidity conditions it is also a plant that can cry. If you can get a picture of this plant from the current owner I can probably ID it more precisely. Good luck.
