Question
kalanchoe
Hello Darlene,
My Kalachoe turns very bad in 2or3 days.
It was quite nice with a couple of white flowers before.
But suddenly, the stem went badly. You can see the bottom stem turned brown. The remaining stems turned much softer and bent a lot. The leaves were brown as well that I cut off a lot.
I only water when the soil get dried. What happened to it actually?
Please help me, Darlene.
Thanks Mucccch
AnswerAsiaSun,
I can't see the bottom of the pot in the picture so it cant tell if it has a drain hole and a drain tray under it. If not then that is the problem. No matter how dry you let it get it will still have too much moisture in the bottom of the pot. Kalanchoe is a succulent plant and needs to be dry for a couple of days before being watered. When you after you need to empty the drain tray an hour after watering it. It hates to sit in water and that is likely your problem since it happened so fast. It also likes lots of sun. It can sit outdoors in warm weather. Good luck!
