Hi,

I read your advice about getting rid of scale infestation. I sprayed water, alcohol, and a little liquid soap on all the stems and leaves today. I still see the brown mole-like spots on some stems, should I wipe them off? How do I know if this treatment worked or if i should use the product you recommended (brand X) ?

Hi Maya,

You can wipe off the dead brown scales by hand if you want. Otherwise, the best proof of their elimination is the end of any further stickiness on the leaves or under the plant. Only live scale continue to secrete the honeydew.
