LIpstick Plant--Pruning

Question
I read your previous answer and found it clear and well written, however, I saw no "RATE VOLUNTEER" BAR.

I would like to know if I should cut the stem back when the bloom falls off.

Thank you.

Answer
Hi Cara,

I believe only those who actually post a questions and receive an answer can rate the volunteer. You should be able to do that now that you have received my reply.

Your Lipstick Plant can be pruned back at any time, except when it is in flower or in bud. Pruning does not affect the health of the plant in any way. It simply alters its appearance, so prune whenever the stems look too long.

Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.

If this information has been helpful, please click the Rate Volunteer bar below and enter a rating and nomination for me. I am a volunteer on this site so Ratings are the only compensation I receive for answering plant questions.
