Need to know the name of this plant/tree

Question
There is a plant/tree that I want but am no longer sure of it's name.
I've seen it potted and believe it is a house tree/plant. It has twig stems and petal like things that are shaped like coins (about the size of a nickle or quarter. They are a milky whitish colour, kind of transparent, thin like waffers. I always thought this was called a Silver Dollar, but can find none like it on the internet under that name.

Answer
Lisa,

If it is a tree it is probably a eucalyptus tree. If it is a plant it is lunaria annua. My bet is on the plant. both are outdoor plants and would be very difficult to grow as a houseplant. Some eucalyptus can be grown in pots but needs brighter light than you can provide indoors. Lunaria annua is a biennial and needs freezing temperatures in the winter to complete it's life cycle. You can look at pictures of both at the following site: http://www.google.com/images?hl=en&sugexp=ldymls&xhr=t&q=silver+dollar+tree&cp=1...

For the lunaria annua you should be able to get seeds in the flower section of most large seed racks like at Lowes and HomeDepot or Menards. For eucalyptus you can order plants online. If you have more questions feel free to write again. Good luck.
