QuestionI have two floor to ceiling yucca plants that I saved from destruction. Their leaves were turning brown so I have repotted them but their leaves are still turning brown. What can be done to stop this from happening.
AnswerHi Sandra,
I cannot diagnose a plant problem from a generic symptom, such as 'brown leaves.' If the Yuccas are as high as the ceiling then they are probably not getting enough light, but I have no idea how close to a window your plant is. Over and under watering can both cause brown leaves. Repotting is never a good idea for a newly acquired or an ailing plant so that will simply aggravate problems.
I suggest that you post a photo here or send it to my me at
[email protected]. The photo should show the entire plant, including the new pot. Tell me how close it is to the nearest window and what your watering routine is. What specifically was the 'destruction' that you saved them from?
I look forward to receiving better information from you so I can help you properly.
