QuestionHi,
I was wondering if anyone has heard of cleaning indoor plant leaves as a chargeable service? To me it probably is one of those chores that people don't get around to and might be happy to pay for occasionally? Please give me any feedback & what a fair charge might be.
Thanks, JN
AnswerHi Jules,
Professional interiorscape companies provide cleaning as part of their comprehensive plant service plans for companies. I do not know of anyone who does only plant cleaning. That is a task that may be neglected by people, but requires no training to be able to do it. More important plant care services such as watering and pruning are more challenging and are the services people are more likely to pay for.
Because there is no established market for such a plant cleaning service, I have no way to tell what a fair charge would be. Like anything else, a fair charge is whatever the market will bear. I suspect the market will not bear enough for anyone to earn a living doing it. But I guess it might be worth a try.
