ficus losing leaves

Question
We have had our ficus tree for 22 years, repotted once, moving it outside each spring and back inside each fall.  Inside it was not by a window so received very little light.  Last spring we could not move it outside and when fall came, the fig began losing leaves, both yellow and also healthy green leaves.  I moved the fig tree outside into direct sun and one night there was a light frost.  The tree has now lost most of its leaves.  I have brought it back inside. If I have it inside by a window and away from any heat vents and water it when the soil dries out, is there any chance it will revive?

Answer
Jean,

Yes, There is a chance it will recuperate. Keep it warm, give it as much sun as possible. It is a myth that ficus doesn't like sun, it loves the sun. Do not keep it constantly wet. Make sure it drys out between waterings. If it is alive it will grow new leaves in a month. Good luck.
