QuestionI am looking for a plant for my desk at work. I would like it to grow around 2 ft. Thanks
AnswerVal,
If your desk is in a very sunny area with large windows a cactus might fit the bill. But if it is like most offices it is not so bright and on weekends it may have no light for the whole weekend. If you are on vacation for a week or 2 and there are no windows you will have to make special arrangements for your plant. Good plants for low light would include a ZZ plant, a peace lily, a Chinese Evergreen, a Dieffenbachia, upright philodendrons, a sanserieria also known as a snake plant or monther in laws tongue,or a schefflerra kept in a small pot will stay small. Many of these plants will also clean the air in your office. The website below further discusses this subject.

Good luck.
