QuestionI dropped my orchid!
I've been mothering this orchid for months.
It started from a stick with some leaves and buds and has grown about 10 inches high with 7 flowers on it and about 8 huge leaves!
But I was watering my plants yesterday (I set them all on a table with a towel to water) and as I was putting them back on their shelves, I dropped my poor orchid!!!
It didn't come out of its pot but the leaves broke and almost all the petals on the flowers broke.
All the flowers are falling off now.... will it still survive? will the flowers come back? :(
AnswerDesirai,
Since I am not an Orchid expert and I do not know exactly what kind of orchid you have I can't give you detailed instructions but I can safely tell you to keep mothering it and it will survive. It will slowly regrow. Get some orchid fertilizer and start a regular feeding schedule and that will help it. It will eventually rebloom but it may take about a year. You may want to pick up a book on orchid care at a used book store. Just be careful, growing orchids or plants of any kind can become addictive. You could pick up another orchid and another so eventually you would have one blooming at all times of the year. Just a thought. Good luck.
