QuestionHi again, my plant is outside on the porch and it is growing some smaller leaves right now. They were drooping a little, so Ii just watered them a little, still drooping. It has been humid outside in Niagara Falls. Ii thought this was good for the plant. What should I do next? Thanks again
AnswerAlisa,
This plant likes to get very dry between waterings and it likes full sun to maintain it's color. You have probably been keeping it too wet for a long time and the roots have rotted so they are no longer able to take up water. That is why it continues to droop. When you start with a young plant you have to be careful to let it dry between waterings. Houseplants are not swamp plants and they cannot stand to be constantly wet. More plants are killed from too much water than from too little. You alway need to keep your plants in pots with drainage holes and drain trays under them and an hour after you water them you need to empty the drain trays. Dry your plant out and if you set it out in the sun it may slowly recuperate. If not buy another and try again. You'll get it right next time. Good luck.
