QuestionHi Darlene, I would like to plant some flowers and plants outside of my living room window. The only thing that concerns me is once I plant these, they will attract bees or other types of insects. I've had bee problems before and was very expensive to have them removed and because of this I was wondering if there is a plant or flower that won't attract bees?
AnswerElsa,
Anything not blooming will not attract bees. Bees are only attracted to flowers. Houseplants such as pothos vines, philodendron, nepthitus, Go to a nursery and look at the houseplant section. Look for ones with a lot of color in their leaves. Crotons would fit the bill. Some houseplants occasionally bloom but you can pinch off the blooms so as not to attract bees. Like I said look for colorful leaves or interesting shapes. If you have more questions feel free to write again. Good luck.
