QuestionThe leaves on my bamboo are turning a yellow/brown color on the tips. Today rinsed the rocks and container it was in and noticed the roots on it were not there. Is there something wrong with my bamboo? and if so what can I do to fix it? Thank you!!
AnswerMorgan,
I believe that the lack of roots on your plant was caused by not changing the water frequently enough. Move it to a brighter location and that should stop the roots from falling off in ahe fuure. If there are any black spots on some for the stems those should be cut away and allowed to dry for a few hours before putting the plant back in it's vase. In the meantime you should thoroughly clean and dry the vase very thoroughly before you put the plants back in the vase. Then move the plant to a very bright location and make sure that you change the water every 2 weeks at the longest to keeep the plant free of problems. Some garden centers carry a liquid rooting hormone that would help it grow new roots. Good luck.
