QuestionThis I am sure is not its proper name but that is what was told to me. How do I care for it. It has a long narrow leaf with rounded corners a stem off the top of the leaf and a smaller identical leaf.
AnswerDebra,
Could your plant be what I know of as Piggy Back plant? You can see pictures of it at:
http://www.google.com/#hl=en&source=hp&q=piggy+back+plant&rlz=1R2GGLL_en&aq=f&aq...
The latin name is Tolmiea Menziesii
The following site has complete care info: http://faculty.ucc.edu/biology-ombrello/pow/piggyback.htm
It is a perienniel plant that likes bright cool shade. It can be planted in the ground outside and will survive into Alaska. Indoors it may go through an occasional dormant period when it seems to die. Do not throw it out. Keep it very slightly moist and wait for it to resprout. If you have more questions or if that is not your plant feel free to write again. Good luck.
