Question
Hi there, this morning i noticed a little yellow mushroom growing up through the join in my carpet that leads to the bathroom, i left it and by 8pm this evening it has grown to 3 times its original size, Im happy to pull it out but was just curious if u had heard of anything like this before?

Yes & No! Not specicically but I have heard of bad plywood coming out of China.  How new is your house? For mushrooms to be growing in your floor you have a serious moisture problem along with a fungus or mold problem. Are you renting or do you own this house? I would remove it and spray the immediate area with Lysol spray. That will kill fungus growth in the area. But if it is a bigger problem underlying the carpet you could have a major problem. Not to be the bearer of bad new but you may want to check into the situatiion further. Good luck.
