QuestionHello,
I just adopted a marble queen pothos and from what i've read, i should trim back some of her leggy vines in order to stimulate new leaf growth. Where do I cut? I know I cut at a node, where? Do I cut the node right in half? Do I cut closer to the tip of the plant or the pot, relative to the node? That is, not which node to cut, but where near the node do I cut? I've been googling for an hour and can't seem to find an answer. Your help is deeply appreciated.
Thank you
AnswerMandi,
You cut the stem just past the leaf node so there is very little stem left past the leaf. You should cut the stem about half way between the pot and the end of the stem. I would wait to cut it back until about March 1st when the days are a little longer and the new growth will start faster. Then I would fertilize with some miracle grow just after I prune it back to stimualte the new growth. Right now with the short days of winter the plant will not grow readily because it is semi dormant due to the short days. That's why I would wait. If you have mmore questions feel free to write again. Good luck.
