QuestionMy prayer plants bloom 12 months of the year! I read somewhere they only bloom between March and June. How often should they? I'm not complaining, just curious.
I live in southern Ontario, Canada.
AnswerHi Timothy,
Congratulations on taking such good care of your prayer plants! Prayer plants usually bloom sporadically, if at all, in the indoor environment of most homes.
Prayer plants will bloom at any time of the year if they are healthy and are in the correct environmental conditions, such as their native habitat (the floor of the rainforest) or in a greenhouse environment.
I usually seem to get the most blooms on my green and variegated prayer plants between November - January and my red prayer plants seem to bloom more in the summer. All my prayer plants are kept under artificial lighting and a mostly constant micro environment.
I hope this helps. If you have any questions or need additional information please don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks
Tracy
