UNKOWN HOUSEPLANT

Question
I RECENTLY BOUGHT A HOUSEPLANT THAT LOOKS SIMILAR TO AN EMERALD RIPPLE.  IT IS VERY DARK IN COLOR.  THE MATURE LEAVES ARE OVAL, DARK, DARK GREEN WITH SILVERY STRIP, THE UNDERSIDE IS PURPLE.
THE LEAVES ARE QUITE TEXTURED.  THE SMALL NEW LEAVES ARE PURPLISH AS THEY GROW. IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL AND INTERESTING I COULD NOT PASS IT UP.  IT GROWS NICE AND COMPACTLY....ANY IDEA WHAT IT MIGHT BE??

Answer
Dear Patty,

It is difficult to be certain without the aid of a photograph but there is a chance that your plant is from the same family as the Emerald Ripple [Peperomia].  It could be a P. hederafolia, that is Silver Ripple.  It sounds beautiful.
