As hibiscus is a shrubby plant you should take a heel cutting - what this means is you pull off a side shoot [stem] with a heel [strip of bark from the main stem attached], dip the bottom inch in rooting powder and plant.
Cuttings should be taken in the Spring and should not have any flowers or buds on them. So you have plenty of time before you need to do this and hopefully will be enjoying your flowering plant for several more weeks.
