QuestionI have three candy corn plants hanging in pots outside...only one of these plants is producing blossoms. How can I encourage the two non-flowering plants to blossom? Last year my candy corn plants void of blossoms never did flower. Thank you for any help you can give.
AnswerHello Cala,
I have to tell you that I have no personal experience of growing candy corn plants but I do know that they need sunshine to flower. Perhaps the one you have which is flowering gets some sunshine and the other two do not? Have you been feeding your plants during the growing season? This is important. The compost should be kept moist at all times and the leaves should be misted regularly. As your plants are hanging they will use up more water than those in regular pots so keep an eye on the compost.
As the plants grow pinch out the tips occasionally to prevent it becoming straggly. In winter of course the plant will need less watering and it should be repotted every Spring.
I hope the above helps to get your plants flowering. Good luck.
