How do you make a bonsai bamboo plant
grow spiral?

Dear Crystal,

Much as I love looking at Bonsai plants I have never possessed one so don't know much about their care.  However, I DO know that they are trained into different shapes by the use of wire and from what I have seen in books it is a very painstaking and time consuming business.

I suggest you buy a book specialising in bonsai and that will give you all the information you need including how to prune the roots and leaves of the plants so they remain miniature.  Good Luck.
