QuestionHey Diana,
I have a really nice marble flower pot that I use for indoor plants, but it has no drainage at all and I cant keep plants alive in it for more than 6 months. What can I do to alleviate this issue while still using this planter?
AnswerHello Derek,
What I would do is use this pot as a plant pot cover rather than planting directly into it as without drainage every plant you put in is destined to die quickly.
So you will have to choose plants in pots which are smaller than the marble pot so that they do not protrude over the top rim. After watering your plant check to see if there is any residue and tip out as you don't want the bottom of the flower pot sitting in water as the plant roots will rot.
Of course when it comes to repotting your plant another smaller plant will have to be found to fit the marble pot but, if you are a plant lover, that won't be difficult I am sure!
