Hey, I'm also doing a project on "Does dryer lint affect plant growth" and there is only one week and 3 days until the project is due! I was wondering what are some fast growing houseplants that are cheap?

Hello Marina,
    I am not sure you are going to find any plants that will grow significantly in only 1 week and 3 days.
To answer your question, some cheap fast growing plants are Philodendrons, Pothos and Spider Plant plantlets (babies). Prayer Plants can grow very fast under the right conditions.

I am not sure what results you are expecting or where you are putting the dryer lint to affect the plant.
Something that may help you out with your project is if you are going to put the lint on the plant leaves it would affect the plant, although it would take some time for a noticeable effect. It is important to keep plant leaves clean. Even a thin layer of dust or lint can reduce photosynthesis by up to 50%. Also dust, lint and nicotine from cigarette smoke can clog pores and interfere with the plants transpiration and respiration (breathing and release of moisture).
