Question
I recently moved to an apartment with low lighting and my scheffelera is dropping leaves yet new growth is evident.  What should I do different.  when I bought it it was loaded with leaves.

This plant loves the sun. You have to get it as much sun as possible. It needs to be in front of a south or west facing window with the drapes or blinds open all day long.  If that is not possible you need to hang a flourescent light fixture above the plant and it needs to hang 12 inches above the top of the plant. It needs to be on 14 hours a day. Since it is flourescent it will not add more than $2-3 a month to your electric bill. You can set more plants under the light and make it a decorative accent.
